Conversion Kits
We have large range of Lambo door conversion kits - all our kits contain bearings for the main pivot - unlike most of the kits on the market.
All our kits have correctly mounted support rams - unlike almost all kits on the market.
Our support rams are adjustable and Automotive rated items (unlike most other kits)
All our kits open to 70-80 degrees - unlike most which only open to 40-50 degrees.
As a rough guide most kits cost between £650 and £750 and fully installed prices start at around £1950 if we have a kit and £2950 if its a bespoke one-off conversion, up to about £3500 if its a complex bespoke install.
We are familiar with all the Lambo Doors kits on the Market. Worldwide there are three kits that are suitable for use on cars used everyday - ONLY THREE. Everything else is Chinese crap, and mostly poorly made copies:-
- Our Lambotek kit is in our opinion the very best on the market. It contains 5 bearings in each side, bolts onto most cars, uses adjustable rams, and achieves the perfect lift angle of 70-80 degrees on most cars. The kit fits almost all cars as it is available in dedicated fit plus our “multi-fit” versions. this is not a universal kit as other may sell as the arm and the rams are adjustable - we know of no other kit that has these features. The combination of being able to fit such a vast range of cars, in addition to its adjustability make this the most versatile kit on the market. It will take slightly longer to fit, but it will fit more precisely than any other kit.
- The LSD (Recaro seats, KW Shocks) kit is developed along similar lines to the Lambotek kit, although it did come along about 12 months later. The kits are well made, relatively easy to fit, and fit a wide variety of popular cars. They do however have one overriding down side - they only open to 40-45 degrees - thats half way! The website does not show side pictures because of this. If you can put up with a half a Lambo then its a great option.
- GT Factory. Be careful - this kit is one of the most widely copied on the market, and not to the same quality as the original, so our advise - only buy direct from GTF in the US. Prices have dropped as the market has become more saturated, and there is no reason to buy a copy. The major down side for this kit is that whilst it is probably the lightest, and most sturdy, it is by quite some margin the hardest to fit. If you have not fitted 10-20 Lambo conversion in the past you are unlikely to get the best out of this kit which has no positional adjustment once fitted - you have to get it millimeter perfect and cannot adjust it thereafter.
